YAMPT – Yet Another MyProxy Tool

YAMPT (Yet Another MyProxy Tool) ist a Java Web-Start application for the simple management of X.509 proxy credentials for users within Grid environments using a MyProxy credential store. To use the software, users only need a working installation of the Java 6 runtime environment.

The current version 0.9 of YAMPT was developed by a student as the result of his bachelor thesis at the RRZN, Leibniz Universität Hannover. The software is provided a compiled Java code. Source code can be obtained – simpy ask for it. YAMPT currently implements following features:

• support of user credentials as PEM and PKCS#12 files
• support of user credentials stored in the local browser keystore (windows and linux only)
• creation and destruction of local proxy credentials
• creation and destruction of proxy credentials at a MyProxy credential store
• information about local and online credentials
• upload of proxy credentials to a user interface system via secure copy (SCP)
• software and online help in English and German
• configuration of language, standard MyProxy cs, aso. within jnlp file on webserver
