SciPy

Beschreibung

SciPy is an open source library of algorithms and mathematical tools for the Python programming language.

SciPy contains modules for optimization, linear algebra, integration, interpolation special functions, FFT, signal and image processing, ODE solvers and other tasks common in science and engineering. It has a similar audience to applications as MATLAB and Scilab.

Installation auf den RRZN-Computeservern

SciPy wurde mit BLAS und LAPACK Unterstützung übersetzt und unter /sw/aws/numerics/scipy/ installiert.  Die Übersetzungszeile war:

BLAS=/sw/aws/numerics/lapack/lapack-3.2/ LAPACK=/sw/aws/numerics/lapack/lapack-3.2/ \
 python setup.py install --prefix=/sw/aws/numerics/scipy/scipy-0.7.0

Benutzung auf den RRZN-Computeservern

Um dieses Paket zu benutzen, muss man das Modul laden.  Dies macht man so:

module load scipy

Falls Sie die Fehlermeldung "module: command not found" bekommen, müssen Sie dieses Kommando eingeben (im normalen Fall ist das "module" Kommando bereits vorhanden):

source /usr/share/Modules/init/`basename $SHELL`
