Zen (zen.rrzn.uni-hannover.de) is the general login computer for the university.  It is intended to provide access to the compute servers of the university for users outside the univeristy network. The computer also provides access to basic computing services, such as mail, web browsers and editors etc.

Zen runs the Debian GNU/Linux operating system. There is a large range of software available, for example, to read email, to surf the internet or to edit documents.
