Liebe Nutzerin, lieber Nutzer,
vom Donnerstag dem 25.08.2011 (ab 7 Uhr) bis einschließlich Samstag dem 27.08.2011 findet eine Wartung auf dem Clustersystem statt. Die folgenden Maßnahmen werden unternommen:
- ein Filesystem-Check auf BIGWORK
- weitere 7 TB werden zu BIGWORK hinzugefügt
- Umbau des Batchservers
- Umbau der Knoten 'Avon' und 'Slave'
- 'Orac' wird mit neuer Hardware neu aufgesetzt
- weitere neue Hardware wird in Betrieb genommen
- sonstige Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung des Strom- und Ethernetzes
Das System wird planmäßig am Samstag Nachmittag wieder in Betrieb genommen. Alle Jobs, die in der Queue waren, werden an diesem Zeitpunkt anlaufen.
Wir bitten um Verständnis für die Störung, aber freuen uns auf ein schones, verbessertes System

the cluster system will undergo maintenance from Thursday the 25th of August (from 7am) until Saturday the 27th of August. The following activities will be undertaken:
- a filesystem checko on BIGWORK
- 7 TB will be added to BIGWORK
- the batch server will be modified
- the nodes 'Avon' and 'Slave' will be modified
- 'Orac' will be rebuilt and reinstalled on new hardware
- other new hardware will be brought into operation
- further improvements to the eletrical and ether-networks
It is planned to have the system back up and running by the Saturday afternoon. All jobs which were in the queue will then start at this point in time.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, however look forward to a nice, improved cluster system
