Avon
Avon is (along with Orac) one of the login computers for the RRZN compute service. From Avon it is possible to send jobs into the batch queue to then run on the compute servers. It is also possible to compile source code and to undertake other general software development activities. Because the computer has 12 CPUs it is also possible to interactively check parallel programs before they are sent into the batch queue.
